I was a little unsure how to rate this because it's not a story, but more of a study guide for discussing the story. It does a good job of that, so I gave it five stars.
If you're discussing The Pines in a group of any description, this would be useful. I don't know what connection the author has to the author of the original book, but this goes into a lot of chapter by chapter detail and brings up questions that would make for excellent discussion points.
There's not much more I can say about it except that it does exactly what it sets out to do and does it well.
