Short, but shows promise

Tesemini: Lake of Spirits (Brides of Prophecy) - Brooklyn Ann

This is mor of a short story than a book, but the idea of a metal band practicing in a haunted church appealed to me and it was set in a small town that I've live near, so it was worth the 99 cents it cost.

The writing is pretty good, although it gets a little rushed at the end. There's a surprise sample for one of the author's other books afterwards too, although it wasn't my sort of thing. I get the impression that this is a fairly young writer who has potential to develop into a really good writer, but she needs a little patience.

As ghost stories go, there was some formula to it but the characters were developed and I did enjoy the story.
