Carrie is a teenage girl with a religious extremist mother who makes her dress dowdy and become the school nerd. Unfortunately for both, Carrie has a special telekinetic ability which of course her mother says is from the devil.
As adolescence sets in in full force, Carrie really wants to go to the school dance. On a bet, one of the popular boys asks her to be his date. What could possibly go wrong?
